About the project

A donation from the AP Møller and Chastine Mc-Kinney Møller Foundation for General Purpose has made it possible to realize the renewal of the park.

As part of the “Fælledparkens” renewal, Copenhagen municipality included an extensive renovation of the old playground, Where MONSTRUM in collaboration with GHB Landscape Architects was chosen to design and develop the new playground called “Tower playground.”
PlayAlive A/S delivered the electronic play devices to the area called “roofs”.

The City Towers of Copenhagen in Mini size

If you as a small child want to feel big, go to “Fælledparken” and visit the playground towers, with its countless opportunities for physical play and technological interaction.

Children can play electronic catch over the rooftops, or solve a riddle in the Round Tower or talk like a politician from the Town Hall Tower.
The playground is designed as an urban playground, where the children will learn about the historical facts about some of the city’s famous towers.

The playground is built around five of Copenhagen’s most famous towers: Town Hall Tower, Our Saviour’s Church, Round Tower, the Marble Church and the Exchange Tower. The towers are part of a motor challenging playground, and among other things using technology that provides for high physical activity.

The Round Tower is 5.5 meters high, 3.3 meters in diameter, with an interior ramp, which winds 2.5 times around the tower to get to the lookout platform with a small planetarium. Going down you can take the slide or rope bridges to the town hall tower. Or climb the silhouette of the city to Our Saviour’s Church and play on the church bells.
