MONSTRUM has signed a contract with KOMPAN on sales and marketing in France and the UK.
Our job will be to help KOMPAN deliver individually designed play grounds in France and the UK.
MONSTRUM is looking forward to serving customers in the two new markets. It is going to be challenging, a lot of work and a lot of fun!
On the photo you see our new friends from KOMPAN in France: Directeur Général, Eric Daligault; Responsable Bureau Des Marchés, Patrick Bertault; Responsable Technique, Laurent Chevallier og Directeur Commercial, Frédéric Coussi – as well as the MONSTRUM parrot in Skydebanehaven, Copenhagen.
MONSTRUM has designed a large playground for Gorky Park in Moscow.
The S/S OceanLiner is on a long jurney, a full moon is hanging low in the sky when suddenly a giant octopus attack the ship. Panic is everywhere, kids are running to safety. Only the really brave ones stay to fight the monster. A weak beacon of light is visible in the distance. It’s a light house, so help is near.
MONSTRUM has completed our first playground in France, so now you will find a Roly Poly with grass, leaves and acorns at Square Charles de Gaulle in Toulouse.
Come visit if you are in the area!
We are very honoured and excited to be nominated for three design awards.
MONSTRUM is nominated for the German Design Award 2014, InnovationSTORM2013, and we are among the finalists for the Index Award 2013. We cross our fingers!
In collaboration with physiotherapists and fitness instructors MONSTRUM has developed a series of training equipments, allowing the experienced user to train specific muscle groups, while also inspiring the novice exerciser.
The exercise equipments can be combined in larger or smaller series to meet the needs of a specifik target group.
Children and adults can benefit from the same equipment and be challenged in different ways. Because children sometimes want to use the gym, the elements are designed to meet the same safety regulations as playgrounds, DS/EN 1176.
MONSTRUM invites all handymen and -women to build a car and a caravan to your private garden.
We have made a drawing and a shopping list to be downloaded here . So it’s just to get started! Feel free to make changes or add new elements and details to the design. Be creative and enhance play value for your children!
A shiver goes through Societetsparken in Varberg, Sweden, where a ghost house attracts spiders, ghosts and bats. Dare you visit the creepy MONSTRUM playground?
Everybody holds their breath and waits in suspense on what monster will do. Is he angry or just want to get a friend?

MONSTRUM has sent a dragon to Mulighedernes Park in Aalborg.
Children and adults beware! It looks dangerous, but we are sure that if you are brave it will allow you a ride.
Together with GHB Landscape Architects, PlayAlive and Copenhagen City, MONSTRUM won Danish Design Award for the Spiral playground.

We are happy and proud to announce that we have moved to our new home at Nordholmen 14 in Hvidovre, Copenhagen.
Better space for production, better space in the office and a nice floral theme in the kitchen.
MONSTRUM won the AOK award for the Best Childrens’ Experience in Copenhagen. We won the award in alliance with the municipality of Copenhagen and GHB landscape architects.

Also, look at these great reviews:
In the design of our new playground ‘Roly Poly’ MONSTRUM have chosen to take words and phrases into the game. You find it in Nymosen north of Copenhagen.
We have done this by cutting 14 small sentences with information in various places around the playground for children to search and find.
It’s fun for kids (and adults) to get detailed information on nature.
Did you know that:
1. The Roly Poly breathes through gills?
2. It can live up to four years?
3. The female can not lay eggs before she is two years old?
It is easy to underestimate the tiny Roly Poly. But you should not, because it is very special.
The playground opened in June 2012
MONSTRUM has begun its largest playground task so far, the project should be ready in Kristinebergs Slottspark in Stockholm City in the summer of 2012.
Stockholm municipality has selected MONSTRUM to design and produce a unique playground that will express the story of the fauna in the park.
There is an Owl-mom and an Owl-dad, both more than five meters tall with tube slides and hanging bridges. You also find a large, giant beetle family, a giant anthill with ants, flowers, giant mushrooms, and much more.
Ayfer Baykal, Mayor for Environment in Copenhagen, opened the new playground in Fælledparken.
Standing on one of the new bridges in Copenhagen, she welcomed the new initiative and the young citizens ready to invade it. The playground replaced a 20 years old playground.
‘Quality and durability is important, but more important is our customers’ satisfaction’. So they say in Höganäs, Sweden:
“We are very pleased with the MONSTRUM playground and it’s high quality of materials and labour.”
The freighter is located at the marina in Höganäs, in a climatically harsh region where the elements are exposed to heavy strain. That is why we have built it in materials that can endure the climate.
MONSTRUM is glad to announce that The Blue Whale is now opened for the public in Gothenburg, Sweden. This is what they said:
“There were a lot of families and the whale quickly became a favorite.”
The Blue Whale exhibited at the Museum of Natural History nearby was MONSTRUM’s inspiration for the whale at the Plitka playground.
We are currently working on a new project with Thing & Wainø landscape architects. This is what they said after presenting it to the customer:
“They are crazy about it and can not wait for it to be made.”
The Tower Playground in Copenhagen’s major park, is getting ready for exhibition.
The playground consists of four famous towers and one cupola of Copenhagen.
All in a size that allows children to feel big and have fun due to lots of play elements on the playground.
The playground is designed in collaboration with GHB Landscape and the municipality of Copenhagen. It will be ready on November 7th.
MONSTRUM enters into collaboration with Play Points on the sale of specially designed playgrounds in Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam and Philippines.
About 200 million children and adults live in the region.
Play Point also represents companies like Kompan and Corocord.
‘Into the Stamp’ is a combined exhibition and playground created in collaboration between MONSTRUM, Post & Tele Museum and Post Denmark.
In ‘Into the Stamp’ you can see 104 Danish stamps enlarged to giant size and erected in a set design that encourages play. Here, children learn through play about the Danish landscape, portrayed through stamps motifs.
The museum is open every day from 10-16. Free admission.
MONSTRUM has a new website that will make it easier for you to explore our projects. You are most welcome to write us a message, or to request our product catalog, and/or sign up to our newsletter.
MONSTRUM’s Japanese tower at Tivoli Hotel in Copenhagen is architecture and design, and fun for children of all ages. The playground brings Tivoli into the Tivoli Hotel and gives the children an extra rush in the stomach.
